Do typing games help improve typing skill, or is better to type passages?

I want to improve my typing speed/accuracy and want to know the best method.|||You can combine the two to stop boredom kicking in. The games are good for complete beginners whilst they get the general hang of where keys are.





If you're learning to touch-type (where you don't have to actually look at the keyboard at all), it helps to get familiar with high frequency words and type out a variety of different things. Accuracy is the key thing in the beginning. Speed comes later.





Learning to touch type was the single most tedious, soul destroying thing I ever had to endure but it's also the one thing I'm so glad I stuck at.|||Yes! Typing games are awesome!
