Are there any Warhammer type games for model tanks?

I am looking for a tabletop game, played like warhammer, only with model tanks only instead I was just wondering if anyone had any suggestions of games that fit this description.Are there any Warhammer type games for model tanks?

Yes, Games Workshop has released the Spearhead expansion for Warhammer 40,000, but this is designed for use with their own W40k tanks, rather than historical ones (which is what I gather you're driving at).



Battlefront, of course, has Flames of War - a series of related games set in the Second World War and which lean heavily towards tank battles (especially in the Mid-War period of the game, when people like Montgomery, Rommel and Patten were throwing around mighty armoured forces the likes of which have never been seen since). But the game is based around using Battlefront's own range of 15mm-scale tanks and figures and wouldn't work well with larger scale model tanks from the likes of Tamiya or Airfix.



Historical war games, though - and especially those involved in the Second World War - tend to be mutable and many dedicated veterans simply like to make up their own rules, balanced between historical accuracy and playability.Are there any Warhammer type games for model tanks?
Technically there is not one...yet. Warhammer 40k has a new expansion of the game called "Iron Fist?" at this point the name elludes me. Anyway this expansion only uses Warhammer 40k tanks. I am currently unsure of the release date. Keep checking Gamesworkshop.com for updates.
