What type of computers do professional game development companies use to make there games? (Please read detail?

Hey.

I've been watching a few devblogs on youtube on some of the latest MMO's and I am interested in what kind of computer they use to develop there types of games, do they use standard run of the mill desktop computers or are they super hyped up machines that can do a thousand things at once?

Also what kind of memory do they have?What type of computers do professional game development companies use to make there games? (Please read detail?
Mostly they will be developed using fairly normal PCs, or at least the same sort of machines that any other development would be done.



The big difference will come when people are developing for consoles. This will be done with a PC for the actual development and a special console to test the the software being developed.
