What games are similar to Fallout?

I've played Bioshock (1%26amp;2), which i fell in love with, and then got recommended to play Fallout 3, which i also fell in love with, and then bought Fallout New Vegas. I was wondering what other games are similar to Bioshock or Fallout, that is a FPS, roleplay type game with a good story line because i really want a new game to play. PS-Try Red Dead Redemption. It's got an awesome story. It's a sandbox, but still, play it!!
Mass Effect was nearly perfect. It was tightly written, graphically impressive but the combat system was a little lacking. It's no secret that BioWare was intently watching people play Mass Effect through a system that catalogued and sent all your decisions back to them. They took this information and did something almost unpressidented, they took peoples peaves from the first game and actually took them into consideration for the second game! Mass Effect 2 is as perfect a game as I've played on the 360. I've been through all the Battlefields and Calls of Duty and Halos and Gears of Wars, but there is nothing to compare to this series.What games are similar to Fallout?
Bioshock and Mass Effect are on my shopping list. But Fallout 3 is one of my favorite games ever (NV not as much), the story is amazing.

Don't forget where Fallout 3 came from: Bethesda Game Studios. It's based on The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, which is my other all time favorite game. Same game engine, same addiction, but different theme and story. Bethesda's newest creation, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, is based on what Bethesda learned from Fallout 3 and Oblivion. It's coming out November 11th, and I'll kill someone just to get that game. They may not be FPS games, but they're still awesome.

As far as free roaming games, I liked Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood too. Cool story.What games are similar to Fallout?
