What type of games are better for PS3 than on Xbox 360?

i used to play ps 1 and 2 and have always been a fan of ps. i cant decide which one to get, a ps3 or an xbox. what type of games are available for the ps3?What type of games are better for PS3 than on Xbox 360?
Well, there is no perfect system, but when you buy a new console, you have to weigh the Pros and Cons of each one.



PS3: Pros

- Super reliable (0.2% breakdown rate)

- Overall better graphics capabilities

- predicted 10 year life span

- Cheapest and best bluray player



Cons:

-Not as many games right now

-More expensive entry price



360: Pros

-wide variety of good games right now

-cheaper entry cost

-Xbox live

Cons:

-Xbox live is not free ($50 per year)

-no HD movie player

-accessories add up $

-breaks down alot (over 30% break) Yes microsoft replaces the broken ones for free, but i would rather be playing games than wait for my system in the mail.



I had to make the same decision a few months back and I got a ps3. The 360 has better games now, but the PS3 will catch up. (Just compare how many games were on the PS2 vs. original XBOX)The PS3 has a very strong game lineup in late 2008 - 2009. The 360 came out a year before the PS3 and it seems like it is just coasting on the lead it established instead of actually trying to develop more games. The PS3 is more future proof, has better graphics capabilities. The PS3 has 7 core CPU units, the 360 has just 4.



Cost is also an issue, the 360 system is cheaper than the PS3, but Xbox nickels and dimes everything. $100 wireless network adapter, $20 rechargeable controller battery packs, 120GB hard drives for $180, $50 per year for x-box live. Wireless headsets for the 360 are $60.



PS3 has built in wireless and battery packs, free online, and you can use your existing external hard drive on a PS3 (or you can buy 300GB hard drives for around $150). Bluetooth headsets can be bought for as cheap as $20. Plus built in Blueray player.



By the time you buy all the necessary accessories, the 360 is going to be much more expensive, and it isn't even the superior system. Why pay more for something that isn't as good?



There is also the performance issue. The 360 is currently using about 80% of its potential. Games for the 360 have little room for improvement. Gears of War 2 will most likely max out the system. On the other hand, the PS3 is using about 30% of its potential so it has a lot of room to grow. Metal Gear Solid 4 on the PS3 has better graphics than ANY 360 game and MGS4 is not even made by Sony. (In other words, Sony makes the best looking games on the PS3, Nintendo makes the best looking games on the Wii, and Microsoft makes the best looking games on the 360) Things can only get better for the PS3.



Even if you are not into watching HD movies, the blue ray discs allow a lot more data to be stored on them. (Xbox 360 discs have 9GB of memory on them; Bluray has 50GB)

Can you imagine how awesome a game like Grand Theft Auto would be if it used the full 50GB instead of being crammed onto a 9GB disc like Grand Theft Auto 4 was? The map would be so big and awesome.



Finally, Sony has said that the PS3 will have a 10 year life span. This means that the PS3 still has over 8 more great years of fun left in it. Microsoft has never specifically given a lifespan for the 360 but it will probably be 5 - 6 years (since that is a typical life cycle for a system and the 360 is already at 80% potential). That means, in just 2 - 3 years Microsoft will stop making the 360 and jam a new expensive console down peoples throats. You want proof, almost right after the 360 came out, the orignal xbox stopped being made. Sony on the other hand, kept making PS1s for several years after the PS2's came out, and they have kept making the PS2's even though the PS3 has come out.



To sum it up, you should get a PS3.

As you can see the 360 has more good games right now, but the PS3 has a lot more great games coming out in the future.



Both Systems have great games like Call of Duty 4, Grand Theft Auto 4, and Devil May Cry 4.In the future both will also have Soul Calibur 4,Call of Duty: World at War, Rock Band 2, Resident Evil 5, Final Fantasy 13 and Star Wars Force Unleashed.



Sorry this is so long, I just hate it when people give one line answers like “Get a PS3, they RULE.” I also hate it when people use childish names to slam the other system "Piece of S*** 3" or XBroke 360." Grow up people.
Alright, listen to this. PS3 has some games, but not a lot, especially exclusives. You'll see a lot of games that are on PS3 on X-box 360 as well. And for exclusives, PS3 has barely any (recently they lost FF 13.) Plus, it is the least innovative. The only new features are higher processing power, blu-ray, and PSN. Who cares about power anyway? A lot of these PS3 games with great graphics don't even come close in popularity to NES games. "Oh look, how his hairs blowing, it looks so real! Look at the pores in her skin, so life like!" It's pointless and useless, it's just made to fool people into thinking it's great. And for blu-ray, it's worthless, too. Look at movies from 1950s/60s (or whenever.) They beat a lot of movies out today, not because of the quality of the picture, but the quality of the movie as a whole (plot, humor, acting, etc.) I don't even want HDTV, because that's worthless, too. Bottom line: PS3 is the worst out of the 3 consoles, others being Wii and 360. Trust me, I know.What type of games are better for PS3 than on Xbox 360?
I'd buy Ps3. Graphics on the Ps3 is very good especially on gta 4

also turning on the ps3 (its a touch button)

Call of duty is on ps3 aswell

you can upload music and videos on to your ps3 also

so basically its like a hard drive

you can put pictures on it music and videos

also once you have bought a game Cd all the games are installed on to the ps3 and you an go through them.

Theres also a couple of game trials on there that you can play for free one of which is fifa street footall or something

Most games i opted to buy a ps3 than a xbox and i am happy with my choice ps3 is faster also when developers really get a hang of using the ps3 software the games will surpass the xbox better graphics bigger versions of games etc. to prove my point Metal Gear Solid 4 simply can't go on the xbox because the xbox simply hasn't go the software power etc.
