It's the type game where you have gadgets and you have to place them in a certain way to make things happen.

For instance, you have to get the bowling ball from the left ledge to the right ledge. To do it you have several things to use. Gear wheels, balloons, rockets, lit candles, catapults etc.What do you call those video games where you have gadgets?
the original series of these games was called The Incredible Machine. There were many, many sequels. There are some modern flash games, like Fantastic Contraption, that have a similar feel to them but aren't quite the same.What do you call those video games where you have gadgets?
